"Expect the Unexpected"

I was hired to create an Ad Campaign for one of my long time clients (and favorite clients) Mast-Jägermeister US. The Creative Director’s concept was inspired by work I had done with a good friend, contortionist Natasha King. I suggested we skip the casting process and just use Natasha, since she was perfect for the job and I knew she would be able to pull off the pose. Jägermeister cast the extras, who were also amazing. All of the models and product where shot in studio but our background was another story...

Normally, we would scout for the perfect location but we were shooting in winter, during the pandemic so travel was out of the question. Another option was to piece something together with stock images but after discussing creative's ideal setting, I decided to create the entire background with CGI. This is actually the first CGI landscape I've ever created and I'm really happy with how it turned out. CGI also allowed me to adjust the perspective of the background, allowing me to photograph Natasha at the best angle for each of her poses and then match the background perspective to her final select.
